Hi, I'm Rachel!

 I'm a wife, mother, worship director and song writer. I live with my husband and our three sons in southwest, Michigan. i'm a self proclaimed "odd duck" and I wouldn't have it any other way. 

 

Fred Rogers shared a story from his childhood about a grandmotherly neighbor that would invite him over for a visit and to share his favorite treat of toast sticks that she made for him. soon after they began sharing these snack times together, his neighbor passed away. However, the legacy of what was shared endured-a legacy of friendship, caring, sustenance, and giving the gift of "your honest self" to another person.

 

I want to share the things that feed my  soul with you because, as amy hollingsworth puts it, "sustenance is to be shared". this blog is a place where i'd like to share those things and my "honest self" with you.
